A little bit about me.

Welcome to this space and thank you for your interest in Gilly Bow Yoga , My name is Gilly, 'hello'. I am originally from Cork, which is something I am very proud of as I share that birth place with my father who has passed many years ago. I currently live and work in the beautiful little seaside town of Greystones. I created Gilly Bow wellness on instagram in December 2020 as a safe space for me to share my thoughts and to connect with and try support people during covid times. For as long as I can remember all I have ever wanted to do is help people feel comfortable and safe within their own bodies. To feel seen, supported and loved. I wanted there to be a space in the world where everyone, no matter who they are or where they came from knew that they were are so so welcome always here.

My Journey into yoga began nearly 2 years ago when I graduated from my 200 hour yoga teacher Training. I trained in Astanga Yoga with the wonderful RĂ­onach O Flynn and Ingrid Jaanisoo. Astanga is such a beautiful practice and guides to support self discipline, but with the guidance of my amazing tutors I always knew I would not teach this specific style. Yoga for me is an opportunity for self connection, self acceptance and exploration in a world that moves so quickly. Yoga gives us space to pause and to allow a little kindness back into the body and mind that we live within. Yoga is about celebrating that all of our bodies are unique and so beautifully different and within that we should take away the pressure of having to do each pose perfectly or being able to touch or toes in order for it to be yoga.

Each body will create its own unique shapes in embracing the movement that comes to them. This is yoga, this is art, it is perfection that rests within the imperfect, an apprication of who you are. Each class is designed to bring you a little closer to yourself. A chance to celebrate where you are in your life from the very moment you step onto the mat. Granting yourself permission to forgive yesterdays mistakes and embrace todays possibilities. I hope so much for anyone who comes to join me on the mat that they leave knowing they are enough, they did enough and their capabilities are limitless. Our practice is about sending gratitude all around the body for all that it allows you to do and for all that it is yet to allow you to do.

Quarter to you is a

A 15 minute breathwork and meditaiton practice via zoom. I hold this

space every Monday at 7.45pm. This is a free practice open to anyone who wishes to start their day off slowly connecting with the breath.

Once every 6 weeks I hold a 2 hour wellness workshop for women. This is such a beautiful safe space to connect with other like minded women and celebrate one another through movement, meditation and journaling.

Coporate Events

& Private bookings.

If you would like to book in for a corporate event or a private class for hens, parties or retreats, or one to ones, please do get in contact. Such bookings include workshops, yoga class's both online or in person, sacred circles and Meditations.

I teach a mixture of slow flow and energetic yoga with a main focus always being on connecting the breath and bringing your awareness back to the body. My class's are an open level flow with variations given for different levels. All are so so welcome.
